What is a Claude Code subagent?
A Claude Code subagent is a specialist role defined in a Markdown file: a name, a description, the tools it may use and its instructions. Claude Code hands it a task, it works in its own context and reports back, which keeps the main session focused.
How to choose one
Add subagents for work you repeat, such as reviews, tests or documentation. Check which tools each one is allowed to use and remove the ones it does not need.

Questions
people ask.
How do I install a subagent?
Copy its Markdown file into the .claude/agents folder of your project, or into your user folder to use it everywhere. Claude Code picks it up on the next session.
Is it safe to install what I find here?
Every listed item passed an automatic scan for credential theft, hidden instructions to the AI and risky install commands, and comes from a licensed, active project. That lowers the risk but does not remove it. Read the code and check the permissions before you connect anything to company data.
