Context

Under EU Regulation 261/2004, passengers are entitled to compensation of €250-600 for delayed, cancelled, or overbooked flights. However, many passengers either don't know their rights or use claim agencies that take 25-35% of the payout. Easy Claims EU saw an opportunity to empower passengers to claim directly while still providing value through tools and guidance.

The challenge

Passengers entitled to EU261 compensation often don't realize they can file claims directly with airlines. Those who try frequently give up when faced with airline bureaucracy, confusing forms, or initial rejections. The challenge was creating a toolkit comprehensive enough to handle the full claim process, from eligibility verification through follow-up and escalation, while remaining simple enough for anyone to use without legal expertise.
