What it does
A Cursor rules file with guidelines for writing Fortran. It asks for modern standards, implicit none in every program unit, procedures placed in modules, shared kind parameters and explicit intent on every argument. It also covers naming and style, and avoiding obsolete features such as COMMON blocks.
Use cases
- 01Write new Fortran modules with explicit interfaces
- 02Review legacy code for COMMON blocks and numeric labels
- 03Keep naming and indentation consistent across a codebase
