What it does
DOMShell is a Chrome extension that maps each tab's accessibility tree to a virtual filesystem. Windows and tabs appear as directories, and page elements can be listed, opened and searched with commands such as ls, cd, cat, grep and click in a terminal in the side panel. Both people and AI agents can use it to read and act on web pages.
Use cases
- 01Search an open web page for a specific label
- 02List the links and buttons on a page from a terminal
- 03Let an agent navigate a site through shell commands
