What it does

An MCP server that connects AI agents to a running Neovim session through its msgpack-RPC socket, with no plugins needed. Agents can read and edit buffers in memory, run Vim commands, send keys, query LSP diagnostics and add highlights or virtual text. Nothing is written to disk until you save, and the project asks you to read its safety notes first.

Use cases

  1. 01Reviewing LSP errors across an open Neovim session
  2. 02Applying find-and-replace edits to a buffer with full undo
  3. 03Marking lines with highlights during a code review
