What it does
This n8n template reads the README file from a GitHub repository, decodes it and adds a timestamp before saving it back. Its second branch works on a local Git repository: it updates a file, stages and commits the change, pushes it to GitHub and pulls remote changes. The two branches show how to run these Git tasks with n8n nodes.
Use cases
- 01Add a timestamp to a README stored on GitHub
- 02Commit and push local file changes from a workflow
- 03Pull remote changes into a local repository
